Spotlight event
The Association Free Lutheran Bible School presents a concert of sacred music March 28 in Kenyon. The 39-member mixed choir from Minneapolis tours annually and has traveled across the United States, three times to Norway and twice to Central Europe.
This year, the tour takes their songs across the northeastern United States. The concert choir is one of 10 performing groups represented at the school and one of two touring choirs.
Andrew Hanson is the music director and conducts the choirs and instrumental ensemble. The Association Free Lutheran Bible School is a two-year, college equivalent Bible school where credits transfer to many other four-year Christian colleges.
The choir’s repertoire is eclectic in style, sung primarily a cappella, and includes sacred classics, hymn arrangements and energetic spirituals.
