Red Wing School District recently settled new two-year contracts with its custodians. The new contracts are effective for the 2011-12 and 2012-2013 school years, and included wage increases for all custodians.
District Finance Director Brad Johnson said employees received their pay increases for the 2011-2012 school year and the first part of this school year retroactively last month.
But even with the new contracts finally signed, it won’t be long before negotiation groups are back at the table. The Red Wing School Board Negotiations Committee has planned a closed session to take place this month to begin looking at negotiations for the new 2013-15 contract.
