About 100 Red Wing area Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts, as well as their adult leaders, families and friends, will collect donations for the Red Wing Area Food Shelf Saturday March 9 as part of
Scouting for Food campaign.
Scouts distributed flyers March 2 about the food drive throughout Red Wing. On the morning of March 9, the Scouts will return to collect donations.
Place non-perishable items in location a clearly visible from the road — such as the curb, the front door or on a porch — by 8 a.m.
March 9. All types of food are needed. Since items may sit outdoors, please do not include frozen foods, perishable fresh fruit or vegetables
or items packaged in glass jars. If you would like to donate any of these types of items, bring them to Red Wing Area Food Shelf, 1755 Old West St. Scouting for Food previously occurred in the fall but moved to coincide with the Minnesota FoodShare and Channel One “March Campaign” drive.
