The trio features Lutheran Music Program alumni Matt Axdal on keyboard, Kristina Butler on flute and Karin Dye on viola.
Fred Trio takes its name from the Swedish and Norwegian translations for peace. The musicians spent a combined eight summers at LSM, where they participated in a rigorous curriculum that included private instruction; chamber music; band, orchestra, and choir; musicianship classes; and a range of elective offerings including jazz and early music.
Their program in Red Wing will include a range of work for piano and strings.
