Assist with regional Special Olympics in Cannon Falls
Volunteers are needed to support athletes with intellectual disabilities in the 2013 regional basketball tournament March 10 in Cannon Falls. Regional games are held as an extra competition, benefiting Special Olympics Minnesota athletes as they train, compete and transform themselves, their communities and the world.
Volunteers are needed to support athletes with intellectual disabilities in the 2013 regional basketball tournament March 10 in Cannon Falls. Regional games are held as an extra competition, benefiting Special Olympics Minnesota athletes as they train, compete and transform themselves, their communities and the world.
The tournament will be in the Cannon Falls Fieldhouse, 820 East Minnesota St. Games begin at 8 a.m. The award ceremony begins at 2 p.m.
Volunteers help distribute awards, keep score, referee, set up and tear down event, prepare lunch and hold additional positions at various times throughout the competition. Volunteers may sign up for more than one shift and are asked to rank their preferences when registering.
Volunteers must be at least 15 years old. All volunteers will receive a T-shirt.
