With three players finishing with double-digit points, Baldwin-Woodville cruised past Middle Border Conference foe Ellsworth for a 59-42 victory on Thursday.

Heidi Hinz paced the Blackhawks with 18 points, while Maddie Kulow and Micheala Slind added 13 and 11 points, respectively. The MBC champions finish the regular season at 19-3 overall and 12-2 in conference play.

Hayley Stoesz finished with a team-high nine points for the Panthers, and Michaela DeGross added eight in the loss.

“That was not how we wanted to end the regular season,” said Ellsworth head coach John Kleppe.

Getting the 12th seed in the Division 3 Section 1 tournament, the Panthers (2-18, 1-12 Middle Border) open the playoffs Tuesday against fifth-seeded Durand.
