Red Wing Downtown Main Street invites people to dine out using the restaurant passport again this winter.
People can start their “trip” — between March 1 through April 15 — by picking up a passport at DTMS, 207 East Ave. Collect a stamp at the 12 participating restaurants, and then turn in the passport when the promotion ends.
People’s names will be entered in a drawing for three prizes.
Your travels can take place during breakfast, lunch or dinner.
• Pearle Vision of Red Wing won the Stanley Award this month. Paul and Tracy Cardinal attended the Pearle Summit in Atlanta to collect the company’s top award given to a franchisee. They were honored for sales performance, customer service, marketing excellence, community involvement and franchise involvement.
• Eric Huppert, president of Team Oil Inc. in Spring Valley, Wis., was featured in the Convenience Stores Decision January edition. The magazine article outlined his management approach of stressing the front line — employees and customers — ahead of the bottom line. In 10 years, Huppert took a run-down old saw mill property and turned it into thriving business.
