Boys Basketball: Goodhue drops low-scoring game at home

Goodhue hosted No. 7 (3A) Byron Friday and treated the home fans to a low-scoring affair before falling 38-31.

The Bears’ Brandon Schubert was the only player to score in double figures in the game, finishing with 14 points, four rebounds and two blocks. Byron shot 48 percent from the field.

Zach Hinsch had nine points to lead the Wildcats (11-12). He also had three rebounds. Riley Bollum provided six points, two rebounds and a steal. Goodhue shot 6 of 14 from beyond the 3-point line but made just 4 of 15 2-pointers in the loss.

Goodhue will host Kasson-Mantorville Tuesday.
