Girls Basketball: Bombers beat in regular-season finale

The Cannon Falls girls basketball team ended the regular season on a down note with a 65-28 loss to Section 1AA foe Plainview-Elgin-Millville Thursday in Cannon Falls.
Callie Loeschke led the Bombers (1-23) with seven points, while Anna Rapp had six points and three steals. Courtney Woodcock pulled down 12 rebounds to go with five points.
Sarah Hart led a trio of Bulldog players in double digits with 14 points. Hayley Rau and Karlie Gilbeck finished with 12 points each for P-E-M (17-7).
Cannon Falls opens the first round of the Section 1AA playoffs on Feb. 21. Section seeding will be announced on Sunday.
