Monica Velma Goeser, 73, Red Wing, formerly of Shelby and Earling, Iowa, born Dec. 29, 1939, died Thursday, Feb. 14.

Survived by husband of 55 years, Joseph; children: Debra (Michael) Crabbe, Underwood, Iowa; Jolene Stoffel, Council Bluffs, Iowa; Timothy (Annette) Goeser, Council Bluffs; Lisa (Sen. John) Howe, Red Wing; Jeffrey (Rachelle) Goeser, Davenport, Iowa; Brian (Melissa) Goeser, Farmington; Jennifer (Todd) Petersen, Herman, Neb.; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nine siblings.

She was preceded in death by one son, Michael.
