Boys Basketball: Cannon Falls wins its final HVL Blue game

Cannon Falls finished off its conference schedule with a 73-37 thumping of a depleted Kenyon-Wanamingo squad Tuesday in Cannon Falls.

Cannon Falls finished off its conference schedule with a 73-37 thumping of a depleted Kenyon-Wanamingo squad Tuesday in Cannon Falls.

The Bombers (14-9, 9-3 HVL Blue) shot better than 60 percent in the game, led by Noah Callister with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Jordan Lundell had a perfect shooting night in scoring 16 points for Cannon Falls, going 6-for-6 from the field and 2 of 2 from the free-throw line. Tanner Jackson had 11 points, Colton Sande added eight points and Brock Peterson tallied six points and five assists. Autin Jacobs notched four steals in the win.

“It was senior night and it was good to get those seniors some recognition for all the hard work they put in,” Cannon Falls head coach Josh Davisson said. “Reward them with that playing time and they did really well.”

The Knights shot worse than 30 percent from the field and 2-for-9 from the free-throw line. Austin Bauer had a team-high 15 points and Brad Rostad finished with eight points and 10 rebounds.

The Bombers play Winona Cotter Friday in Winona.
