Girls Basketball: Tigers contain Cougars in 2nd half for HVL win

The Tigers’ Madi Green had game highs in points (24) and rebounds (9), while teammate Taylor Koller added 17 points and seven boards in the victory. Breanna Gates finished with 16 points and eight rebounds.
Laura Brunner led the Cougars with 21 points, going 9 of 10 from the free-throw line. She also had seven rebounds and three steals in the loss. No other Cougars player finished with more than seven points.
Lake City (15-8, 6-5 HVL Blue) finishes the regular season Friday at home against Pine Island. Z-M (9-13, 5-6 HVL Blue) travels to Goodhue on Saturday.
