Red Wing remained undefeated in Section 1AAA play Thursday night with a 71-49 victory on the road against Kasson-Mantorville.

The Wingers had a dominant second half after leading by only one point, 30-29, at halftime.

“It was a great win last night against a good section team,” Red Wing head coach Dave Muelken said. “Up 30-29 at half and then came out and played a really good second half … with good defense and better offensive execution.”

Tesha Buck led the Wingers (16-5) in all the major categories Thursday night and was the catalyst in the second half. She finished with 25 points, 10 rebounds, six steals and five assists. Macy Kelly provided 16 points, eight rebounds and four steals while McKenzie Muelken had 15 points, four rebounds and three assists. McKenna Schaffer notched four points, four rebounds and four assists and put forth another great defensive effort, Dave Muelken said.

Red Wing is now 7-0 in Section 1AAA play and the sixth-ranked (3A) Wingers face Holy Angels Tuesday in Richfield.
