An Ordinance Amending Chapter 10 of the Red Wing City Code
Regarding Recreational Burning
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RED WING DOES ORDAIN:
SECTION 1: Chapter 10 of the City Code is hereby amended by deleting the overstruck language and inserting the underlined language as shown below:
SECTION 10.19.MINNESOTA STATE FIRE CODE.
Subd. 5.Recreational Burning:
A.Recreational fires may be held without any permit provided the following regulations are adhered to:
10. The Fire Chief, Fire Marshal, any firefighter, DNR employee, or other peace officer is authorized to require burning to be immediately discontinued if local weather conditions warrant or if nuisance calls are received recreational burning is deemed to be a public nuisance.
SECTION 2.Effective Date: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 14 days after its adoption and publication in accordance with the City Charter.
