Assault reported; arrest made

A 27-year-old Red Wing man was assaulted early Tuesday morning. Police said the incident happened at 1424 Vera Ave., just before 4 a.m.

Aleta Luna Oakie, 38, who lives at that residence, allegedly hit the man, causing unknown injuries. A knife was present, but not used during the attack. Oakie was booked into the Goodhue County Adult Detention Center on second-degree assault, fifth-degree assault, domestic assault and disorderly conduct charges.
