Looking for a good book to read during the chilly days of winter? Warm up your mind, while satisfying your taste buds at the second annual Local Authors Day from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday Feb. 9 at the Cannon River Winery.
Guests at the event can meet authors, purchase their books and have them signed while sipping on award-winning wine.
Authors attending the event include Natalie Buske, Barbara Brink, Kerry Casey, Heather Savage, David Fingerman, Tom Brinkman, Craig Yelle, Joel Arnold, Troy Skog, Colleen Baldrica, Colleen Johnston, Edna Curry and Shirley Kalpin-Olson.
“We began running the event at the Cannon River Winery because we are such a strong supporter of anything local,” said Corinne Revsbeck of the winery. “It seemed fitting for us to bring in local authors for guests to learn about and enjoy.”
The winery also features live music on the weekends. Saturday’s event includes entertainment from singer Andrew Walesch.
