Girls Basketball: Wildcats thrash Bombers for HVL Blue win

Aided by five 3-pointers by Mikayla Tipcke and a 51 percent shooting night by the team, Goodhue cruised to a 66-27 Hiawatha Valley League Blue Division victory over Cannon Falls Tuesday in Cannon Falls.
Tipcke led all scorers with 18 points, and Meredith Watson and Kali Ryan added 10 and nine points, respectively, for the Wildcats (18-4, 8-2 HVL Blue).
Katie Noble paced the Bombers (1-20, 0-10 HVL Blue) with seven points and six rebounds, while Callie Loeschke finished with six points in the loss.
Both teams return to action Friday as Goodhue returns home Friday against Triton and Cannon Falls plays host to Zumbrota-Mazeppa.
