Water main breaks at Cannon Falls school
A water main broke at Cannon Falls Middle/High School Friday afternoon, prompting the evacuation of the building, Supt. Beth Giese said.
A water main broke at Cannon Falls Middle/High School Friday afternoon, prompting the evacuation of the building, Supt. Beth Giese said. As of late Friday, staff was working to shut the water in the building off. Because of that, the sprinkler system also had to be disabled.
Giese said the water began spreading through the ceiling. The extent of the damage won’t be known until next week.
As a result of the break, the boys junior high basketball game was canceled and the junior varsity and varsity games were moved to the Cannon Community Center.
