Pauline K. Primus, 92, passed away on Jan. 29.

She was born on Nov. 19, 1920, to Stanley and Mabel Keyes in Dixon, Mo. She had a close relationship with her sister, Maxine, growing up on a farm in Iowa. After graduation from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, she moved to Chicago where she met her future husband, Robert Primus. They were married Jan. 24, 1944, and felt that the most important thing they could do was to raise a good family. Pauline and Bob and their family of four children spent 17 years in Red Wing, Minn., where they had many friends. In 1968, they relocated to Colorado.

After raising her children, Pauline enjoyed her new life working in a number of positions, including providing accounting services, which she continued to do until the age of 85. Pauline loved the Rocky Mountains and the Colorado lifestyle. She enjoyed being active, especially skiing. Pauline loved hosting her family on holidays and was known for her homemade applesauce and sweet rolls. She was full of life, gracious, respectful of others, and always maintained a positive outlook.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Robert, and her parents.

She is survived by her four children and their families, John (Jannine) Primus, Michael (Chris) Primus, Sue (Bob) Imig, and Jan (Dave) Horn; her sister, Maxine (Lew, deceased) Kimer; her grandchildren, Todd, Lyndsey, Alex, Tracy, Shannon, David, CJ, and Sara; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pauline was the joy of the family and will be missed dearly.
