Holding Stewartville to just 11 field goals, Zumbrota-Mazeppa came away with a 50-34 victory Thursday in Zumbrota.
Pacing the Cougars was Laura Brunner, who went 9 of 10 from the free-throw line to finish with 14 points. Amber Jentsch was a terror in the paint, finishing with 13 points and seven rebounds, and Kalli Paukert added seven points, five rebounds and two assists in the victory.
Hunter Miller had a team-high 13 points for the Tigers in the loss.
Z-M (7-11, 3-4 HVL Blue) hosts Kenyon-Wanamingo on Tuesday.
