Ice fishing contest
The annual Rotary Club Jim Ferguson Youth Ice Fishing contest will begin at 1 p.m. Jan. 26 at Pottery Pond Park. Bait and equipment will be available.
Soccer Club
Registration for the Red Wing Soccer Club’s 2013 season will open Jan. 28. Teams are formed for boys and girls ages 8-16. Registration can be done online, by mail or in person. In-person registration sessions will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 13 and 14 in Red Wing High School J pod. Teams will be formed Feb. 22. For more information, visit www.redwingsoccerclub.org.
Adult dance class
An adult dance class will meet from 7 to 7:45 p.m. Tuesdays starting Jan. 29. The class will cover basic techniques and several different dances. It will be held at the Red Wing High School lower J pod, and participants should enter through door No. 10. Cost is $28 for four sessions. There will not be class Feb. 19.
Cheerleading clinic
Coaches Nicole Reynolds and Rachel Sager, along with Red Wing varsity cheerleaders, will teach basic motions, jumps, dance and stunting for kids in kindergarten through grade 5 during the Winger cheerleading clinic from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Feb. 21. The clinic will be taught at Red Wing High School’s Hovda Hall, and participants will cheer during the girls’ basketball game Feb. 22. Cost for the clinic is $25 and includes a T-shirt. Indicate T-shirt size when registering.
