Goodhue County man faces first-degree attempted murder charges

A 26-year-old Pine Island man is accused of attempting to kill his ex-wife's coworker with a hammer.
Goodhue County authorities allege that Jonathan Lee Closner assaulted the 20-year-old man at the Ponderosa Trailer Park in Zumbrota. The victim's name was not been immediately released.
Goodhue County Sheriff's deputies arrested Closner early Monday. He was booked into the Goodhue County Adult Detention Center on second-degree assault charges, but the county attorney upgraded charges late Tuesday.
