Ten players scored for Cannon Falls Tuesday in 56-29 victory over Triton in Dodge Center.
Jordan Lundell scored a team-high nine points for the Bombers (7-7, 4-1 HVL Blue) as Cannon Falls got all 14 players into Tuesday’s game. Noah Callister finished with eight points, eight rebounds and three assists for the Bombers.
“I was able to get a lot of guys a lot of time, which is nice,” Cannon Falls head coach Josh Davisson said. “Callister played really well.”
The Bombers won big but had a slow start, Davisson said. Once the defense picked up, Cannon Falls coasted to victory.
“Once we got going there we played more like we need to play defensively,” Davisson said. “We had an 11-8 lead to start. They got a couple buckets that we didn’t close out on defense. It wasn’t the intensity they needed to have at the start.”
The Bombers led 29-13 at halftime and extended the lead quickly at the beginning of the second half.
“They came out and really made a statement to start the second half,” Davisson said.
Triton didn’t have a single player score in double figures in the loss.
Cannon Falls will try to stop HVL Blue-leading Lake City’s 10-game winning streak Friday in Cannon Falls.
