Lake City kept its winning streak going Tuesday against Kenyon-Wanamingo, forcing the Knights into 30 turnovers and notching a 72-52 victory in Lake City.
The Tigers scored 38 points off turnovers and led 33-22 at halftime in their 10th consecutive win. It is the longest winning streak for Lake City since the 2008-09 season.
Reid Lundell led the Tigers (13-1, 6-0 HVL Blue)with 15 points on 7 of 8 shooting. He also had three assists, two rebounds and two steals. Ben Schramski provided 14 points and four steals, Brady Kuchinka had 10 points and Jake Griebenow finished with nine points, four assists and five steals. Lake City had 21 steals.
K-W (5-8, 2-3 HVL Blue) was led by Zach Quaale with 24 points and seven rebounds. The Knights made 12 of 19 free throws.
Coming out of halftime, the Tigers went on an 11-0 run in the first 1 minute, 53 seconds capped by a 3-point play from Lundell. Lake City led 54-30 at the 10:32 mark and K-W never got closer than 15 points the rest of the game.
The Tigers will face Cannon Falls Friday on the road.
