1/15/2013: Possible body found near Hastings

Dakota County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were notified of the presence of what appears to be human remains near the Vermillion River in the City of Hastings.

Dakota County Sheriff’s Office Investigators are working with the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office to recover the remains. Investigators will be working to determine the identity of the person and the events leading up to the discovery.
