Red Wing residents injured in crash

Two local residents were injured in a crash involving five vehicles Monday morning on Highway 316.

Two local residents were injured in a crash involving five vehicles Monday morning on Highway 316.

Cody House, 22, Red Wing, was southbound on Highway 316 when his vehicle crossed the center line and sideswiped a semi-truck driven by David Gustafson, 44, of Rochester. The vehicle then hit three other vehicles, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

House was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing with non-life-threatening injuries, and Gustafson suffered no apparent injuries.

A third driver, Jeanne Bloomquist, 28, of Red Wing, also was taken to the Red Wing medical center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The other two drivers — Tyler Ritter, 21, of Pine City, Minn., and Michael Stori, 52, of Lake City — had no apparent injuries.
