Award-winning author will come to Red Wing library

William Kent Krueger, an award-winning mystery author, will speak in the Red Wing Public Library Foot Room at 10 a.m. Saturday Jan. 26. The program is the first in the library’s “Hot Reads for Cold Nights” series.

Krueger’s mystery series is set in the north woods of Minnesota and centers on a man named Cork O’Connor. The Oregon-born author has received a number of awards, including the Minnesota Book Award, Loft-McKnight Fiction Award, Anthony Award, Barry Award and Friends of American Writers Prize.

There is no cost to attend the program at the library. Refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given out.
