Community recreation briefs for Jan. 16, 2013
Ice fishing contest
The annual Rotary Club Jim Ferguson Youth Ice Fishing contest will begin at 1 p.m. Jan. 26 at Pottery Pond Park. Bait and equipment will be available.
Adult hula hooping
Hula hooping for fitness will be taught from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays starting Feb. 5. The classes meet at the Red Wing High School upper J pod. Participants should enter in door No. 10. Cost for four sessions is $80 and includes group and individual instruction.
Adult dance class
An adult dance class will meet from 7 to 7:45 p.m. Tuesdays starting Jan. 29. The class will cover basic techniques and several different dances. It will be held at the Red Wing High School lower J pod, and participants should enter through door No. 10. Cost is $28 for four sessions. There will not be class Feb. 19.
