Girls Basketball: Posts carry Tigers to win over Cougars

Lake City posts Madi Green and Taylor Koller accounted for 40 of the Tigers’ points Friday in a 62-50 Hiawatha Valley League Blue division victory over Zumbrota-Mazeppa in Zumbrota.
Green led all scorers with 22 points, while Koller had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers, who shot 53 percent from the field in the victory.
Laura Brunner finished with 14 points for the Cougars, while teammate Alyssa Quam added 11 in the loss.
Lake City (9-5, 3-2 HVL Blue) heads to Kenyon-Wanamingo on Tuesday, while Z-M (4-9, 1-3 HVL Blue) hosts Byron on Tuesday.
