Boys Basketball: Trio leads Z-M over Triton

Nathaniel Rauen led a trio of Zumbrota-Mazeppa players in double digits, pushing the Cougars to a 59-34 Hiawatha Valley League Blue Division victory over Triton Tuesday in Zumbrota.
Rauen shot 9 of 15 to finish with 19 points. He also had five rebounds and three steals. Kevin Niebuhr had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Lucas Ziemba chipped in with 10 points and three steals for Z-M.
The Cougars (7-3, 3-0 HVL Blue) return to the court Friday to take on Lake City in a contest between the top two teams in the HVL Blue.
