State business filings up 18 percent
More than 60,000 new businesses were filed with the Minnesota Office of the Secretary of State in 2012.
More than 60,000 new businesses were filed with the Minnesota Office of the Secretary of State in 2012. With 60,827 new filings, it was the second-highest number of new filings in Minnesota’s history and an 18 percent increase over 2011.
"New business filings reflect Minnesota’s great business climate," said Secretary of State Mark Ritchie. “As our economy continues to improve in 2013, new business filings will remain strong.”
