Zumbrota-Mazeppa’s shooting woes persisted Friday night in a 58-31 loss to Kenyon-Wanamingo in Kenyon.
The Cougars (2-8, 0-2 HVL Blue) made just 11 of 42 field goals and shot 6-for-17 from the free-throw line against the Knights. Laura Brunner led Z-M with nine points and four rebounds.
K-W (8-6, 2-1 HVL Blue) grabbed 37 rebounds including 14 offensive rebounds in the victory. Audra Clark scored 16 points to lead the Knights, Siri Sviggum had 11 points and Britteny Flom provided 13 points.
The Cougars host Chatfield Tuesday in Zumbrota.
