Tae kwon do

Tae kwon do classes will be taught Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Red Wing High School lower H pod starting Jan. 17. Beginning students will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. and advanced students will meet from 8 to 9 p.m. Cost for the 12-session class is $40. Anyone ages 6 and older is welcome to attend. Uniforms are required and can be purchased from an instructor for $29 to $37.

Elementary basketball

Basketball classes for children in grades 2 through 4 will be 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. Mondays at the Burnside Elementary gym. Class will begin Jan. 14 and run for four sessions, with no class Jan. 21. Cost is $11.

Zumba

Zumba will be 7 to 8 p.m. Thursdays at the Red Wing High School J pod starting Jan. 17. Cost is $70 for the nine-session class. Zumba mixes Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a high-energy fitness program.

Outdoor rinks

The outdoor skating rinks at the Red Wing Athletic Field are open. There is one rink for open skating and another rink for hockey. Warming house hours are 4 to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 1 to 8 p.m. on weekends, with hours subject to change because of weather or attendance. Skates are available for use at no cost.
