Goodhue snapped a five-game losing streak Friday with a 49-27 victory over Mabel-Canton during the Warrior Club Holiday Basketball Tournament at Winona State University.
The Wildcats (3-5, 0-2 HVL Blue) led 29-15 at halftime and Zach Hinsch led the team with 16 points and seven rebounds. He also had three steals.
Tyson Dicke added eight points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals in the victory. Tyler Schumacher tallied seven points and six rebounds for Goodhue.
Hunter Johnson was the only player in double figures for the Cougars (2-6), finishing with 11 points and five rebounds.
Mabel-Canton had 15 turnovers in the loss and shot just 25 percent from the field.
The Wildcats play Hope Academy today at 1 p.m. in the tournament championship.
