Grant aid available for homeless

Three Rivers Community Action is accepting applications for programs that help homeless and hungry individuals and families in Goodhue, Wabasha and Rice counties.

Three Rivers Community Action is accepting applications for programs that help homeless and hungry individuals and families in Goodhue, Wabasha and Rice counties. The organization received $14,155 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to put toward such programming.

Local government or private volunteer organizations requesting funds must submit an application in writing and include a summary of the program to be funded. Applications also must include a copy of the IRS nonprofit/charitable determination, a roster of the board of directors, a copy of the non-discrimination policy and copies of audits if the agency receives more than $500,000 in federal funds. Applications are due by Jan. 9.
