United Way preparing for salsa tasting
The United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha and Pierce Counties is offering Red Wing area nonprofits the opportunity to raise money at “A SalsaLicious Celebration” in March.
The United Way of Goodhue, Wabasha and Pierce Counties is offering Red Wing area nonprofits the opportunity to raise money at “A SalsaLicious Celebration” in March.
Participating organizations will commit to buying a minimum of 50 ballots per $1 apiece. They will then be resold to your supporters for $2 each. Every ballot allows one vote only, so those attending will want several ballots to vote on more than one salsa.
Organizations need to make a gallon of their favorite salsa or team up with a local restaurant. A winner will be named in the categories of Best Costume, Best Salsa Name and Best Salsa — People’s Choice.
The event will be noon to 4 p.m. Saturday March 2 at Sargent’s Nursery.
