One extracted from vehicle in Trenton Township crash

One person had to be extracted from a vehicle after a crash near Highway 63 and County Road V in Trenton Township on Tuesday morning.

One person had to be extracted from a vehicle after a crash near Highway 63 and County Road V in Trenton Township on Tuesday morning.

Serena L. Hoisington from Hager City was driving northbound on Highway 63 when she crossed the center line and struck a southbound vehicle driven by John Jutie Jr., according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

Both vehicles ended up in a ditch. Jutie was trapped in his vehicle and was extracted from the vehicle by the Ellsworth Fire Department. He was taken to Regions Hospital with unknown injuries. Hoisington was treated and later released.

Ellsworth Area Ambulance, Pierce County Highway Department and Bunce’s Towing assisted at the scene.
