Falling 73-51 on the road Tuesday against Eastview, Red Wing head girls basketball coach Dave Muelken wasn’t hard-pressed to complement the No. 2-ranked (4A) Lightning.
“They played really well. Eastview is one of the best teams in the state, bar none,” Muelken said. “I did think we played well.”
Tesha Buck paved the way for the No. 5-ranked (3A) Wingers with 29 points, 10 rebounds, five steals, four assists and four blocks.
Macy Kelly had 12 points, but Red Wing struggled to find any scoring behind the senior duo.
Offense was hard to come by for Red Wing in the first half, as Eastview outscored the Wingers 38-17 before halftime.
