Gymnastics: Hart takes third as Wingers drop home meet

Red Wing put forth its best performance of the season so far Tuesday against Farmington as the Wingers scored a 122.075.

The Tigers won the meet with a 126.04.

Senior Molly Hart finished third in the all-around competition for Red Wing with a 30.10. Sophomore Irina Anderson was injured on her beam routine but placed first on the uneven bars with an 8.075 and second on the vault with an 8.825.

Anderson delivered a well-executed bar routine and nearly stuck the landing.

Sophomore Morgan Hughes and Hart tied for third on the balance beam with a 7.85 and Hart also tied for third with sophomore Jordan Munson with an 8.15 on the floor exercise.

The Wingers’ next meet will be Dec. 21 at home against New Prague.
