Girls Basketball: Lake City drops 2nd straight

After starting the season 4-0, the Lake City girls basketball team lost its second straight game, falling 64-59 to Kasson-Mantorville Tuesday in Lake City.

Taylor Koller led the Tigers with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Breanna Gates and Madi Green each finished with 16 points in the loss.

The KoMets’ Erin Schlotthauer led all scorers with 20 points, while Cori Kenndy and Abby Manitz had 14 and 13 points, respectively.

“It was a hard-fought battle, and it was a full-court game for both teams,” said Lake City head coach Candace Olstad. “In the end, Kasson came out ahead.”

The Tigers (4-2) travel to Stewartville on Friday.
