Wisconsin Industrial Sand Co. has earned the title of Green Master from the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council.
The Green Master designation is the highest tier in the Green Masters Program established by the council. Candidates are judged on a range of sustainability issues from energy and natural resource use to education outreach and purchasing.
“Wisconsin Industrial Sand Company has shown dedication to sustainability and has achieved high scores through their energy conservation activities, their water resource management and waste management practices,” Tom Eggert, executive director of the WSBC, said. “We’re excited to welcome the company to the Green Masters Program.”
WISC said its business philosophy focuses on “The Three Ps” of sustainable development — people, planet and prosperity.
“This approach to sustainable development helps to drive innovation and growth, and creates prosperity for our shareholders and employees, while contributing to economic development in our communities,” WISC Sustainable Development Coordinator Lauren Evans said.
WISC has facilities in Bay City, Hager City, Maiden Rock and Menomonie, Wis.
