Falling behind 32-14 at halftime, the Zumbrota-Mazeppa girls basketball team could not overcome a slow start, falling 61-32 against Bethlehem Academy Tuesday in Faribault.
Leading the Cardinals was the duo of Jessie Filzen and Jessie Mathews, who each scored 11 points in the victory. Bethlehem Academy converted 23 of 39 shots, shooting 58 percent in the victory.
No Z-M stats were available on Tuesday.
The Cougars (0-2) look to get into the win column Friday as they travel to Winona Cotter.
