Dance to the Key Notes
All ladies and gentlemen are welcome to live music, dancing and fun from the Key Notes, 6 p.m. Sunday Dec. 9 at the Red Wing Elks Club. Cost is $7.
Volunteer opportunities
Red Wing High School is looking for volunteers to assist students who need support with reading or math. Principal Beth Borgen will talk more about these opportunities at 10 a.m. Tuesday Dec. 11. In-class training will be offered to those who support reading using ROAR (Repeated Oral Assisted Reading). Math support is needed in courses from algebra to advanced placement calculus. Teachers will provide direction to volunteers. Please call 651-267-3599 if you plan to attend.
Medical discussion
Join Lincare in a discussion 2 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 11. Learn about respiratory needs and the importance for quality of life. Lincare will be available to answer any respiratory questions you may have. Treats will be provided.

Presenter William Hoyt will show a movie 1 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 11.
Holiday train display
The Gandy Dancers have a new train display for the holidays in the Hiawatha Room at the St. James Hotel. The display is open every Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. through Dec. 15.
Cards & Games
The following games will be played: Duplicate Bridge – 12:15 p.m. Thursday Dec. 6; 500 – 1 p.m. Monday Dec. 10; Scrabble - 1 p.m. Wednesdays; Fun Bridge – 10 a.m. Wednesdays.
Support services offered
Several support groups and services are available.
• Hearing screenings will be given from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday Dec. 12. The screenings are sponsored by Better Hearing Aid Centers.
• The Men Only Group will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday Dec. 13.
• Foot care clinic will be available Thursdays from 1 to 3:30 p.m. with a home health nurse. To schedule an appointment, call Fairview Red Wing Homecare and Hospice at 651-385-3410. The cost is $32.
Medical equipment available
Gently used medical equipment is available at the Senior Center to use for up to three months during a period of medical convalescence or short-term disability.
Items include wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, shower chairs, commodes and more. If you need something, visit or call the center. A $20 donation is requested to help with the ongoing program costs.
