Candlelight vigil will be Dec. 10

A candlelight vigil will be held at 5:30 p.m. Monday Dec. 10 in Red Wing’s John Rich Park to recognize International Human Rights Day.

The vigil is part of a worldwide event organized by the Afghan Youth Peace Volunteers to push for an end to the war in Afghanistan. They aim to have 2 million candles lighted, symbolizing the 2 million victims of the wars in that country.

Candles will be provided, or attendees may bring their own.
