Mayo Clinic Health System will officially take over operations of the pharmacy in Red Wing’s medical center Dec. 10.
The pharmacy was previously operated by Fairview, and the transition is part of the ongoing integration of Red Wing’s medical center with Mayo Clinic Health System.
“We expect the transition to be rather seamless for patients,” Mayo Clinic Pharmacy operations manager Josh Grabow said. “We will continue to offer the same services, and staff currently working at the retail pharmacy will remain the same, ensuring continuity of care and services.”
The most visible changes will include new signage. There will also be some changes to over-the-counter product offerings.
The medical center in Red Wing has had an outpatient pharmacy since 2001.
