Sharon E. Lemmerman, age 76, of Zumbrota, was cured of Parkinson's disease on Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Zumbrota Health Services.

Sharon E. Lemmerman, age 76, of Zumbrota, was cured of Parkinson's disease on Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Zumbrota Health Services.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Zumbrota with Pastor Eric Westlake officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. There will be no reviewal.

Sharon Eloise Erstad was born on Oct. 1, 1936, in Faribault, Minn., to Olaf and Mabel (nee Torkelson) Erstad. She grew up in Zumbrota, attended Zumbrota public schools, and graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1954. On July 6, 1956, she married Weston C. Lemmerman at St. John's Lutheran Church in Mazeppa. They made their home in Mazeppa. Sharon worked at Dr. James Halvorson's office for over 30 years. In 1983, they moved to Zumbrota ,and Sharon was an active partner and bookkeeper in Lemmerman Trucking.

After her family, Sharon's greatest interest was music, and she was an accomplished pianist and organist. Sharon also volunteered at the Zumbrota Nursing Home.

Sharon is survived by her son, Terry (Bonnie) Lemmerman of Zumbrota; granddaughters, Kim Lemmerman of Rochester, Teresa (Jason) Nelson and Amanda Johnson, both of Zumbrota; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Ashton, Logan, and Aubree.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Olaf and Mabel, and husband, Weston.

Memorials preferred to Parkinson's research.
