Goodhue took over in the second half for the second consecutive game in a 71-51 win at Stewartville on Friday.
The fourth-ranked (1A) Wildcats led 26-25 at halftime, but their shots started falling after halftime, Goodhue head coach Josh Wieme said.
“We didn’t do much differently, the girls just played better,” he said. “Honestly, it was kind of a lack of adjustments. The girls just shot better.”
Mikayla Miller led the Wildcats (3-1) with 26 points and nine rebounds, Mikayla Tipcke had 11 points and five steals and Meridith Watson finished with 11 points and five rebounds. Emilee Roschen contributed nine points on three 3-pointers.
Goodhue tallied 17 steals in the win, while Stewartville turned the ball over 23 times. Liz Waugh was the Tigers’ leading scorer with 13 points.
The Wildcats shot 13 of 16 from the free-throw line Friday and face Byron Tuesday in Byron.
