Using a balanced offensive attack, Goodhue got a win in its season opener, beating Medford 64-51 Friday in Medford.

Riley Bollum, Alex Thomforde and Zach Hinsch paved the way for the Wildcats with 11 points each. Thomforde also had six rebounds and three steals, while Alex Weckerling finished with five assists.

“It was a nice, balanced attack,” said Goodhue head coach Tony Poncelet. “We had 10 guys play quality minutes. Medford threw a couple different looks but our guys were able to adapt.”

The Wildcats stay on the road, facing Randolph on Monday.
