Red Wing kept its winning streak going Tuesday night in a 6-2 victory against Totino-Grace at Parade Ice Garden in Minneapolis.
Nicole Schammel continued to dominate the competition for the Wingers (7-0) Tuesday night, adding five more points on two goals and three assists in the win. Emily Stegora added a goal and four assists, Paige Haley tallied a goal and an assist, Reagan Haley contributed a goal and an assist and Hailee Johnson scored for Red Wing.
Amelia Vosen and Allison Parnell each netted a goal for Totino-Grace.
The third-ranked Wingers outshot Totino-Grace 34-25 and went 2-for-2 on the power play.
Schammel scored twice in the first period to give Red Wing a two-goal lead and Paige Haley added a power-play goal at 9 minutes, 31 seconds of the opening period to go up 3-0.
In the second period, Stegora netted a power-play goal 55 seconds in to garner a 4-0 lead before Vosen scored on the power play for Totino-Grace. Johnson and Haley tallied goals in succession for a 6-1 Wingers’ lead and Parnell scored the final goal for Totino-Grace at 14:30 of the third period.
Red Wing hosts River Falls Tuesday at Prairie Island Arena.
