The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to six crashes during the early and mid-morning hours of Saturday Nov. 17, including one involving a Hager City man, the department reported.

Jeffry Williams, 46, was driving on Highway 35 just north of 1180th Street in Oak Grove Township when his car rolled and was found upside down in a steep embankment.

No injuries were reported in that or any of the other crashes. The department attributed the high number of incidents mainly to slippery road conditions and reminded drivers to be cautious and allow extra time as winter approaches.
